On a picture perfect Saturday afternoon, the MVV team gathered in Rob and Dr. O’s beautiful backyard for Dr. Smith’s Appreciation Party and a bit of friendly competition in a Backyard Olympiks Challenge. It was great getting everyone together for some non-work related fun!
With music being spun by DJ Mike Romeo and bubbles filling the air, it was competition time! Participants split into eight teams of four people to compete for bragging rights (and prizes!) in MVV first annual Backyard Olympiks Challenge. The four games being played were cornhole, outdoor pong, chunkin’ chicken and the ever popular elephant relay race. Everyone put on their game faces and harkened back to their "field day" days! After a couple of hours of fierce competition, team “What Up Bitches” laid claim to the title of Champion with “The Dudes” taking home the runner up position.
As the afternoon turned into evening, Rudy’s BBQ was served and a jazz duo took center stage. The intensity of competition gave way to a laid back atmosphere of enjoying the company of co-workers and appreciating the contributions of Dr. Smith and the entire team. It was a wonderful way to spend a spectacular spring day.
