Concert in the Park, Thursday, July 1st

Recap

Over 350 residents came out to kick off the 4th of July holiday in Lookout Canyon. With temps in the 90s, it was definitely feeling like summer in Texas. Thankfully there was plenty of shade and a slight breeze to help take the edge off. The evening had something for everyone – live music, tasty food, fun games and most importantly great company.

With the rockin’ tunes of Castaneda filling the air, Nabrs could be found partaking in fun games, contests and catching up with friends and family. Kids had a great time in the Kids Zone where they played games, jumped around in the bounce house, took turns going down the giant inflatable slide and participated in a watermelon eating contest.

The grown-ups competed in a good ole’ fashioned pie eating contest, with the winner walking away with a $50 gift card. Speaking of gift cards, several raffles were held throughout the night with even more gift cards up for grabs. Adults also enjoyed a free craft beer tasting where they sampled 3 fun flavors courtesy of Freetail Brewing and sipped on tasty margaritas from the Margarita Truck. For those who worked up an appetite, Dirty Dawgs and Fries along with Bob.e.Q’s were serving up delicious food with Kona Ice keeping everyone cool with refreshing snow cones.

One of the most memorable moments of the events was when Castaneda did a salute to all Veterans and had everyone filled with pride for this great country of ours. To round out the event, Leo led everyone in a fun filled dance party, which was a huge hit with both kids and adults. Thank you to everyone who came out to make this event such a success.

We look forward to seeing everyone on July 10th for the End of School Pool Party, until then…..

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
