Cinco de Mayo, May 5, 2019

Recap

150 residents gathered in the park on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! Everyone got involved in the fun, as there were games for kids and adults to partake in, great music and tasty food to enjoy.

With Cinco de Mayo inspired songs being played, the tone was set for a good time. In the spirit of the celebration, there were themed games and activities including a sombrero toss, where kids were victorious over the adults, jelly bean relays, Mexican hat dance relays and 2 festive piñatas where kids took aim hoping to be the one to release a cascade of candy.  If that weren’t enough, kiddos also had the chance to jump to their heart's content in one of two bounce houses and get cool creations on their faces thanks to Face Painting by Maria. Can’t forget about the yummy churros and free “mocktail” margaritas for adults to sip on!

Thank you to everyone who came out for some fun in the sun and an afternoon of building community! We can’t wait to see you on Tuesday, August 6th for National Night Out, until then…

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
