With temps in the high 90s and nothing but sunny skies, it felt like more summer than spring for Sunday’s Spring Fling & Backyard Olympiks! Over 80 residents came out for an afternoon full of fun in the park. From games for the kids to a free microbrew tasting for adults, there was something for everyone to enjoy!
The activities kicked off with a Hula Snake Showdown followed by a Jelly Bean Potato Sack Race where the kids schooled the adults. The fun didn’t stop there - older kids took part in the Soccer Goal Challenge and the Deep Ball Target contest as younger kids competed in the Bounce In The Bucket contest. To cool down kids won frozen popsicles throughout the event courtesy of AT&T and adults sipped on cool craft beers from Two Wheel Brewing while sitting under the shade from the beautiful park trees. Can’t forget the furry friends who snacked on goodies from Manchaca Village Vet! For those who worked up an appetite, The Loading Zone Food truck was in attendance to chow down on.
The event culminated in a water balloon contest where the winning team walked away with an amazing prize pack from Jump! Gymnastics. The winning team was very gracious and shared goodies from the gift pack with other kids in the NabrHood. A big thank you to the HOA who awarded a $100 gymnastics gift certificate to one lucky kiddo!
