Halloween Party, October 28, 2018

Recap

Nabrs came together on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon to get the Halloween celebrations started in the Baurle Ranch NabrHood! Residents gathered to play spooky games, compete for amazing prizes in a costume contest and enjoy time with family and friends.

To kick off the fun, kids put their imaginations to work and created chalk monsters on the pavement and the results were “spooktacular”! Up next were games of Which Witch, where kids had to guess which witch hat the candy was hiding under, and 3 rounds of musical chairs that had ballerinas, super heroes and even Flo from Progressive vying to be the last person seated.

Everyone was excited for the main event, the NabrHood costume parade and contest! It was fun to see the creative costumes that residents came up with including Star Wars characters, Chick-Fil-A mascots, a train conductor, vampires and more. Signature Care ER handed out candy to everyone who participated in the costume parade and then it was on to the contest portion. After some serious deliberation the winners were announced in 3 categories:

Best Group Costume ($50 gift card) – Wizard of Oz characters featuring Dorothy, The Tinman, The Cowardly Lion and Scarecrow

Best Kid’s Costume ($25 gift card)– Lil’ T-Rex

Best Overall Costume ($25 gift card) – Scuba Diver Girl complete with air tanks, flippers and a pail of fish!

A big thank you to all who participated!

To round out the fun, Leo led everyone in a dance party to Halloween favorites such as  “Thriller” and “Monster Mash”. It was the perfect way to end a fun-filled afternoon! We can’t wait to see everyone again on November 11th for Fall Fest, until then….

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
