Fall Fest and Tailgate, November 3, 2018

Recap

Saturday was a beautiful day in the NabrHood and a perfect day for residents to get to know their Nabrs! Over 50 people came out for some tailgating fun, a delicious potluck and a chance to make new friends.

The sun was shining as everyone gathered at the park and represented their favorite sports teams. While the Texas teams were well represented, the Big 10 also had a good showing with Illinois and Minnesota gear being rocked. With football jerseys being worn, it would only make sense to play some tailgate games! Kids took part in relay races, football relays with UT footballs and a hula-hoop contest while adults squared off in corn hole and ladder ball. There was a head to head competition in football missile drop with adults taking on the teenagers. The adults proved victorious although there was some grumbling about the wind being a factor. 🙂

After working up an appetite it was time for some tasty food prepared by residents of the community including scrumptious chili, a variety of dips, refreshing fruit and decadent brownies.  A free microbrew tasting was offered up for adults to sample and free cold drinks were available for all. Let's just say no one walked away hungry!

It was a great event where people came as residents and walked away as friends. A big thank you to Heather and Doug from PamCo Management Company for helping to build community in the NabrHood! We look forward to seeing everyone at future events, until then…..

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
