Back to School Food Truck Night, August 9, 2019

On Friday evening over 200 residents braved the hottest day of 2019 to take part in Food Truck Night where they enjoyed cool music, refreshing beverages, tons of fun games and connecting with their Nabrs!

There were tasty food trucks on hand including delectable hot dogs by Evil Weiner, Cuban style food by Café Ybor and deliciously cold ice cream served up by Good Times Ice Cream. Adults enjoyed a free microbrew tasting courtesy of Rentsch Brewing and had the opportunity to win a free 12 pack of Rentsch beer by competing in a “Rock, Paper, Scissors” game. Speaking of games there were tons of activities for the kiddos to choose from in the HappiFamli Back To School Kids Zone!

Springfree Trampoline provided a trampoline for kids to jump on, there was a water balloon contest sponsored by Domain Pest Control, an opportunity to show off karate skills by breaking boards at the Tiger Rock Martial Arts booth and the chance to win game cards from Epic Fun by taking a spin at the wheel of prizes. Everyone loved listening to the signature style music of the Devan Jones Band which combined Jazz, Big Band Swing, West Coast and Chicago Blues. The evening concluded with a fun dance party where Nabrs got to show off their dance moves.

Thank you to everyone who came out despite the triple digit weather to make Friday’s Food Truck Night a success. We look forward to seeing everyone in cooler weather (hopefully!) next month, until then…..
