It was a beautiful day for the 1st Annual Forest Oaks Chili Cook-Off. There were four resident teams that competed and the competition was close. Over 80 residents stopped by to enjoy the chili and vote on their favorite. Kids played on the playground and chased each other around in the back while the residents enjoyed visiting with each other and a Free microbrew tasting.
Elaine and Jon Dickerson took home the championship, narrowly beating out David San Miguel’s Chili by two votes. They are pictured below with your Forest Oaks HOA president; Mel.
It was a great kick-off to our year of community building events. Thanks to all the participants and residents that came out to enjoy a beautiful day. And a special thanks to Jennifer Matison and Beef Loving Texan for the nice goodie bags for everyone.
