With daylight savings taking effect Sunday, the sun shined later in the day allowing time for some extra fun for the 50+ residents who came out for Forest Oaks’ Spring Fling & Backyard Olympiks! There was something for everyone - games for kids and adults to partake in, hot hits spun by DJ Crash and tasty food to enjoy.
There was no shortage of games! Kids competed against adults in the Quack Quack Waddle Waddle Relay race (yes, there were duck hats involved!) with kids claiming victory in the first round and adults in the next. Other fun games included classics such as Rock, Paper, Scissors and Jenga along with Duck Splash, Ninja Ball Challenge and Chuckin’ Chicken. After working up an appetite, residents enjoyed fruity snow cones from Tropical Snow, delicious food from Dolphin Indian Kitchen and, for the adults, refreshing brews courtesy of NXNW.
A special shout out to Jaxon for helping out with all the games and to Lemonade Day for connecting with residents and handing out awesome bright yellow drawstring backpacks. It was a great day and we can’t wait to see everyone at the Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 6th. Until then…..
