Independence Day Celebration, Sunday, July 2nd, 2023

Recap

Residents gathered at the pool on a toasty Sunday afternoon to celebrate the Independence Day holiday by playing fun games, listening to great music and most importantly catching up with their Nabrs. It was the perfect way to spend the long holiday weekend in the Forest Oaks NabrHood!

With patriotic music and bubbles filling the air, the stage was set for fun. Kiddos enjoyed meeting local firefighters and getting a tour of their bright red fire engine, playing fun pool games including treasure hunt, sharks & minnows and big splash along with taking part in a Hula Hoop challenge outside of the pool. For the main event, the watermelon and pie eating contests, both kids and adults put their eating skills to the test! In an attempt to beat the 100+ degree temps, Tropical Sno was on hand to keep everyone cool with their refreshing snow cones and Nabrs could be found taking part in a good old fashioned water balloon toss. The event culminated in Leo’s Famous Dancin’ on the Water Dance Party where everyone showed off their dance moves!

Thank you to everyone who came out to make this event a blast! We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, October 22nd for the Halloween Boo Bash, until then…..

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
