Over 200 residents braved the record breaking heat to take part in the National Night Out event on a toasty Tuesday evening. It was a night full of fun, food, family and friends!
The special guests of the evening were first responders from the San Marcos Police and Fire Departments along with the EMS. The huge hit of the evening was the massive police rescue vehicle that kids got to climb in and tour. Thank you to Officers CJ and John for getting to know the residents and taking part in many of the event activities.
Speaking of activities, there was so much fun to be had! Kids enjoyed having works of art painted on their faces by Maria and Alma and everyone had a great time participating in the Cake Walk where 27 delicious cakes were given away. In the Snake Game, The Strawberries walked away victorious, Officer CJ’s team won the Ice Cream Cone Relay and Eliana and Angie won the water balloon contest. For those who worked up an appetite, there were free hot dog combos to enjoy along with refreshingly cold drinks. A big thanks to the HOA for holding raffle drawings throughout the event, many residents walked away winners. But the play of the day was the help from the MTV microphone!
Thank you to all who came out to celebrate NNO and help build community! We look forward to seeing everyone at future events, until then……
