Over 150 residents gathered at the park to take part in the National Night Out event on beautiful Thursday evening. It was a great night full of fun, food, family and friends!
The special guests of the evening were first responders from the Buda Police and Fire Department. Kids had a blast touring the bright red fire truck and police cruiser while residents enjoyed chatting with their local first responders. Officer Young even took part in a pick up game of basketball and Officer Erdman got the party started with giveaways for the residents while he turned on all the lights of his police car.
There was live music by Durawa, comprised of Ernie Durawa and two amazing guitarists, who set the tone for a good time with their catchy rock n’ roll music. To cool off, kids played in the splash pad while adults cooled down with a free microbrew tasting courtesy of Buda’s own Two Wheel Brewing. The fun continued with games and activities including a marshmallow toss that was won by Lea & Eli and a water balloon challenge won by the Paradez Family. The stars of the night were Aliyah, Kiana and Nyla who played just about every game and beat the band in a Hula Hoop Face Off - thanks for bringing the fun and making the event so awesome! After working up an appetite, residents enjoyed delicious food from J Mo’s Food Truck and Gold Star Kettle Corn. To round out the event, residents joined in on dance party which saw young and old dancing the night away!
Thank you to all who came out to spend time with their Nabrs! We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, December 7th for Christmas with Santa, until then……
