Christmas with Santa, December 1, 2018

Recap

It was a magical morning in the NabrHood this past Saturday as 350 residents came out to spend time with their family, friends and the special guest of honor, Kris Kringle! There was tons of fun to be had, food to be enjoyed and memories to be created.

The amenity center was decorated with lights, bright red poinsettias, festive wreaths and a twinkling Christmas tree, which was the perfect place for Mr. Claus to spend time with the Nabrs. Kids and families took pictures with Santa and the little ones made sure to let him know what they hoped for under the tree come Christmas morning. Afterwards, in the arts and crafts room, kiddos could create their own custom ornaments to take home with them to remember the special day.

Outside it was a gorgeous morning with the sun shining and just a hint of chill in the air. Kids and parents hopped aboard a colorful train and took a ride around the NabrHood, children had the opportunity to pet and play with rabbits, lizards and more at the petting zoo and everyone enjoyed free donut holes courtesy of Camp Gladiator and tasty breakfast tacos from Taco Cabana.

A big thank you to the Lake Travis Fire Department for making a special appearance with their bright red fire engine. Kids loved getting a tour of the truck, meeting the firefighters and walking away with a red fire helmet of their very own. It was a wonderful way to start off the weekend and the Christmas season!

We can’t wait to see everyone in the New Year until then….

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
