On a chilly Saturday morning, over 100 residents came out to ring in the holiday season in the Palmera Ridge NabrHood. Christmas cheer was in the air as Nabrs gathered together to enjoy holiday music, take part in festive crafts and meet the guest of honor, Santa Claus.
With a live band playing holiday classics, the stage was set for fun. Kids had a great time at the arts and crafts station where they wrote thank you letters to Santa, colored Christmas scenes and let their imaginations run free at the Play Doh station. Residents created their own unique cocoa concoctions with caramel, peppermint, cinnamon and sprinkles at the hot chocolate station along with enjoying tasty holiday cookies. For those who worked up an appetite, Topp Dawg was serving up their delicious hot dogs and Frios Pops had their homemade ice pops for purchase.
In front of a festive background, Santa took pictures with residents as they told him what they hoped for under the tree this year and he even got to read some of the thank you notes the children wrote for him. It was a great way to get in the holiday spirit!
