National Night Out, August 6, 2019

150 residents gathered at the amenity center to take part in the National Night Out event on a toasty Tuesday evening. It was a night full of fun, food, family and friends!

The guests of honor for the evening were first responders from the Cedar Park Police Department. 25 police officers were on hand throughout the event to meet and greet with the residents of Red Oaks. Kids even got to take pictures with 2 famous mascots, “McGruff” the crime fighting dog and “Nat” the National Night Out Knight.

The excitement didn’t stop there! There was a face painter courtesy of Renewal by Andersen, a trampoline provided by Springfree Trampoline and a giant waterslide for kids to cool down on. Friendly competition was on display in a water balloon toss where Colton and Steven were named water balloon champs along with a yummy cupcake-eating contest. Kara and Asher tied for first place in the 3-6 year old category, Grayson took the title in 7-10 age range and Colton reigned victorious in the 11+ group. Thank you to all who participated!

For those who had worked up an appetite Evil Weiner had delicious hot dogs for purchase and Tropical Snow served up free snow cones courtesy of the HOA. Adults could be found sipping on refreshing microbrews provided by Two Wheel Brewery and sitting around tables catching up with family and friends. It was a fun way to spend a Tuesday night and we can’t wait to see everyone again at Oaktoberfest on Sunday, October 6^th.
