Oakstoberfest, Sunday, October 3rd

Recap

Over 150 residents gathered at the amenity center on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the change of seasons at Red Oaks’ annual Oakstoberfest. It was a beautiful Texas fall day with warm temps, clear skies and lots of sun! The event had something for everyone including live music, fun games, tasty food and most importantly great company.

The Austin Polka Band set the tone with their authentic German and polka music. The band, along with some of the residents, wore their traditional German outfits with pride! Kids had a great time in Leo’s Kids Zone where they played games and jumped around in bounce houses. Adults had fun participating in the Chunkin’ Chicken tournament with that chicken getting some serious airtime!

A big thank you to the Cedar Park Fire Department for coming out for a meet and greet with residents. It was appropriate that the food truck for the evening was named After The Fire! They served up an eclectic menu, including brats, for everyone to enjoy and Tropical Sno was on hand to cool everyone down with refreshing snow cones. To drink, Greenbelt Kombucha passed out their delicious craft kombucha and for the 21+ crowd, Rentsch Brewery featured a tasting of their locally crafted beer including their seasonal Oktoberfest brew. The night culminated in a dance party where residents showed off their sweet dance moves to the Chicken Dance song.

It truly was a fun filled afternoon and we thank everyone who came out to make this event such a success! We look forward to seeing ya’ll on October 31st for the Halloween Boo Bash, until then….

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
