The residents of Red Oaks gathered on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to ring in the holiday season. It was a wonderful event which featured live music, fun activities and most importantly great company.
With holiday music filling the air courtesy of the Christmas Grooves Duo featuring Raphina and Daniel, the stage was set for fun. Kids had a great time at the arts and crafts station where they wrote thank you cards for Santa and decorated ornaments for the tree. Kids loved the petting zoo where they had the opportunity to pet chickens, rabbits, hedgehogs, guinea pigs and even reptiles. Mr. Jack, the amazing balloon artist, created fun balloon creations for kids to take home. Everyone enjoyed creating unique cocoa concoctions with caramel, peppermint, cinnamon and sprinkles along with tasty Christmas cookies at the hot chocolate bar.
Of course no holiday event would be complete without a special visitor from the North Pole, Santa Claus! Santa met with kiddos, hearing what they hoped for under the tree and took pictures with them and their families in front of giant inflatables including Frosty the Snowman and a Christmas tree. The hit of the event was Christmas trivia which had residents recounting Christmas stories and laughing all the way. The fun culminated with Raphina and Santa leading everyone in a holiday dance-a-long. Thank you to all, including Gavin with the HOA, who came out to spread holiday cheer!
