National Night Out, October 6, 2018

Recap

Saturday’s National Night Out event was an educational, fun and delicious time! Over 70 residents came out on a beautiful evening to listen to rockin' music by The Chris Castaneda Project, meet with their local fire department and participate in a “heated” chili cook-off.

Fire fighters from the Pflugerville Fire Department were on hand reminding residents the importance of keeping fire detectors up to date and chatting with Nabrs on how their department supports their community. Face painting was provided courtesy of Renewal by Andersen, with kids lining up to have their faces transformed with cool designs.

The food highlight of the night was the resident chili cook-off! While all the entrants were tasty, Tracy Bailey was crowned chili champ taking home a $50 Visa gift card. In a close battle, Shadana Chancellor proved to be fierce competition and was declared runner up. To wash down all the scrumptious chili, Rentsch Brewing and Adelbert’s Brewery provided refreshing microbrews for residents to enjoy.

Special thanks to Joe Grimm, HOA President, and Shadana Chancellor with Spectrum Management for helping to make this event a success. We look forward to future events in the NabrHood, until then……

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
