Concert in the Park, Saturday, May 8th

Over 300 residents gathered at the beautifully landscaped Amenity Center to enjoy the picture perfect weather, listen to live music, partake in some delicious food and party the night away. It was a fantastic way to spend a Saturday evening in the Villages of Shady Hollow!

The event had something for everyone! Live music fans pulled up their chairs and listened to the music of Blevins who rocked it on the Armadillo Den Concert Stage. Kiddos had a blast climbing around on the playground, enjoying fun games in the kid’s zone and dipping their toes in the pool. Adults had a great time catching up with their Nabrs at the South Austin Beer Garden area where they  enjoyed a refreshing craft beer tasting courtesy of Infamous Brewing led by Kenna Moreland, a VOSH resident. Adults even had their own game zone where they won awesome prizes from our business partners including:

Becky who won a gift card to Armadillo Den

Jake & James, winners of cornhole, who took home prizes from Independence Barber & South Austin Beer Garden

Mary who won a month membership to Orangetheory Fitness along with gift cards to Armadillo Den & South Austin Beer Garden for winning the Orange Peel Contest

The Romero’s who took first place in the Chunkin’ Chicken contest and shared their $100 gift card to Sam’s Town Point with their competitors and Nabrs

After having worked up quite the appetite, kids and adults alike enjoyed the sweet and savory selections offered by Crepe Crazy and Good Times Ice Cream. Everyone was having so much fun that the party kept going long after the official end time, VOSH residents definitely know how to have a good time!
