NNO & Fall Fest, October 26, 2018

Recap

What do you get when you combine a Halloween Party, Fall Fest and a National Night Out? An evening to remember! 250 residents came out on a gorgeous Friday night to meet their local fire department, play some fun games, enjoy some yummy food and catch up with their Nabrs.

A big thank you to the fire fighters for coming out with their fire truck! Kids had the chance to climb aboard a bright red fire engine and everyone learned about the role that the fire department plays in the community. After hearing all about the amazing things the fire department does to protect the community, it was time for games. There was the Which Witch candy game, Vroom Vroom relay race, Blind as a Bat relay race and Chuckin’ Chicken for the adults.

Kids lined up for face painting, walking away with cool designs by Maria. They also had the opportunity to ride a pony! After all this fun it was time for a food break with free tacos provided by Kacy Dalby Group. Adults enjoyed tasty brews by Rentsch Brewing and free Waterloo Sparkling Water was available for all.

The evening wouldn’t have been complete without Leo’s Dance Party, Halloween edition! With classics such as “Monster Mash” and “Thriller”, residents got to break out their best spooky moves. It was a fun time had by all and we look forward to future events in the NabrHood, until then….

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
