On a chilly Saturday afternoon, over 150 residents came out to ring in the holiday season in the West Cypress Hills NabrHood. Christmas cheer was in the air as Nabrs gathered together to enjoy holiday music, take part in festive crafts and meet the guests of honor, Mr. & Mrs. Claus.
With Aaron Lack Steelpan Trio playing holiday classics, the stage was set for fun. Kids had a great time at the arts and crafts station where they wrote thank you letters to Santa, colored Christmas scenes and let their imaginations run free at the Play Doh station. At the hot chocolate bar, residents had the opportunity to create their own unique cocoa concoctions with caramel, peppermint, cinnamon and sprinkles along with enjoying tasty holiday cookies.
In front of a festive background, Santa took pictures with residents as they told him what they hoped for under the tree this year and he even got to read some of the thank you notes the children wrote for him. It was a great way to get in the holiday spirit!
We can’t wait to see everyone in the New Year, until then….
Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
