Christmas Magic, Saturday, December 11th, 2021

Recap

With temperatures finally feeling like winter, the NabrHood of Westside at Buttercup Creek was ready to welcome in the holiday season! Over 200 residents gathered on a chilly Saturday afternoon to enjoy holiday music, take part in festive activities and meet the guest of honor, Santa Claus.

With a live band playing holiday classics, the stage was set for fun. Kids had a great time at the arts and crafts station where they wrote thank you letters to Santa and let their imaginations run free at the Play Doh baking station. There was an even a balloon artist who came up with amazing Christmas creations including candy canes and Santa hats. For those looking for a bit more adventure, there were pony rides around the park!

At the hot chocolate station, residents had the opportunity to create their own unique cocoa concoctions with caramel, peppermint, cinnamon and sprinkles along with enjoying tasty holiday cookies. In front of a festive background, Santa took pictures with residents as they told him what they hoped for under the tree this year and he even got to read some of the thank you notes the children wrote for him. It was a great way to get in the holiday spirit!

We can’t wait to see everyone in the New Year, until then….

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
