Even with misty rain and cloudy skies, nearly 500 residents came out to ring in the holiday season in the Westside at Buttercup Creek NabrHood! It was an amazing event which featured live music, fun activities and great company.
With the Lewis Christian Band playing holiday classics, the stage was set for fun. Kids had a great time at the arts and crafts station where they wrote thank you cards for Santa, took train rides around the NabrHood and played fun Reindeer games. At the petting zoo a variety of animals, from goats to ducks to chickens, basked in the attention of the little ones. To top off the fun, children walked away with magical balloon creations including presents and candy canes.
Residents enjoyed delicious funnel cakes, cookies and created their own unique hot cocoa concoctions with caramel, peppermint, cinnamon and sprinkles at the hot cocoa bar and adults sipped on tasty holiday craft cocktails. A huge shout out to Matt who laid claim to best holiday cookies in the NabrHood with his signature butterscotch snickerdoodle cookies. Of course no holiday event would be complete without a special visitor from the North Pole. Santa met with kiddos, hearing what they hoped for under the tree and took pictures with them and their families.
