Concert, Saturday, June 10th, 2023

Over 250 residents came out on Saturday evening to welcome in the lazy days of summer and officially kick off the pool season. Despite the toasty Texas temps, people kept cool in the pool, under the shade and by sipping on ice cold beverages. It was a wonderful way to spend the weekend in the Avery Park NabrHood!

With the band, Blevins, providing the perfect backdrop with their upbeat music, residents enjoyed fun games, delicious food and most importantly great company. Kids took part in pool games such as sharks n’ minnows, relay races and a Hula Hoop challenge along with jumping around in a giant bounce house. Adults could be found in, and around the pool, catching up with their Nabrs as they relaxed with refreshing craft beers courtesy of Freetail Brewing Co. LaReina Street food truck served up tasty tacos and Gracie’s Ice Cream helped cool everyone down with their delicious ice cream. The event culminated in an epic water balloon toss which turned into a good old fashioned water balloon fight! We appreciate everyone who came out to make this event such a blast.
