Spring Fling, March 24, 2019

Over 300 residents welcomed in the first weekend of spring by gathering at the park for some Spring Fling/Backyard Olympiks fun. It was a beautiful day with temps hitting the low 80s and the sun peeking out from behind bountiful clouds. There was so much to enjoy - from bounce houses to food to games – there was something for everyone!

With D Jammer rocking hot hits under the pavilion, the tone was set for a good time. In the spirit of March Madness, pickup basketball games were played on the court and residents discussed the highs and lows of busted and (somewhat!) intact brackets. Besides basketball, there was a Hula Hoop Showdown with Team Blue proving their Hula Hoop prowess, a Match the Duckies game for some sweet treats and a bubble zone where bubbles as big as the kids themselves were created not to mention 2 bounce houses and a face painter!

With so much to do it was inevitable that residents worked up an appetite – good thing there were delicious food trucks on hand! Dona Kika’s served up tasty tacos and gorditas and Buffalo Snacks served up some hot hot wings and yummy desserts. For adults, Freetail Brewing provided refreshing microbrews to enjoy.
