In recognition of Veteran’s Day, the NabrHood of Homestead held a celebration honoring all those who have served. American flags and red, white and blue decor lined the streets and filled the Amenity Center, welcoming residents to the event courtesy of FreeHold Developer and the management team. It was a wonderful celebration on a beautiful day and the perfect way to spend part of the weekend!
The event kicked off with the Steele High School JROTC conducting a flag presentation and introduction followed by an amazing rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Afterwards, the band, Blevins, played their signature sounds for all to enjoy. Residents could be found relaxing and catching up with their Nabrs over refreshing local craft beers courtesy of Freetail Brewing Co and delicious ciders courtesy of Austin Eastciders. Kids had a great time in the Kids Zone where they played all sorts of activities including toe sack races, giant Connect 4, Chunkin’ Pumpkin and showed off their creative side at the craft station.
For those who worked up an appetite, Yo Mama’s Taco Truck was on hand serving up tasty tacos. The hits of the event were the Stopwatch Game and cornhole tourney with winners receiving a free tour and tasting to Dripping Springs Vodka. A big thank you to the HOA for sponsoring a NabrHood raffle with over $500 in gift cards and prizes given to some very lucky residents. We appreciate everyone who made this event possible including Chesmarc Homes, Perry Builders and FreeHold Developers. And thank you to everyone who has served our country, we appreciate all you have done and sacrificed.
We look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year, until then…..
Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
