Christmas Magic, December 1, 2019

Recap

With a chill in the air, December has officially arrived. Over 200 residents gathered to welcome in the holiday season with their Nabrs, enjoy holiday crafts and meet the guest of honor, Santa Claus.

While Santa was the guest of honor, there were other VIPs in attendance– firefighters from the Bexar-Bulverde Volunteer Fire Department! Kids had a great time meeting with the firefighters and enjoyed seeing their big red fire engine. Santa was also a fan, taking a group picture with them and thanking them for all they do.

There were so many fun activities to participate in including writing thank you letters to both Mr. and Mrs. Claus, playing reindeer games (ring toss with reindeer antlers) and creating cookies at the "baking" station. The cookies were made of Play-Doh and kids had the opportunity to cut them into festive shapes with the candy cane being the most popular! Residents, young and old, had the chance to take pictures with Santa and all received candy canes from his big red bag of goodies. To keep warm there was a hot cocoa bar where residents created their own hot chocolate creations with marshmallows, caramel and peppermint along with cookies, cupcakes and gingerbread men to enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who came out to kick off the holiday season! We look forward to seeing everyone in the new year, until then…….

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
