Tailgate and Chili Cook-Off, January 5, 2019

Recap

While the calendar stated it was January 5th, it felt more like a spring day in the Wildhorse NabrHood! With temps in the 70s and a clear blue sky, it was the perfect day for residents to catch up with their Nabrs, partake in fun tailgate games and enjoy some tasty chili.

Residents wore their favorite football team’s attire with pride, with the Bears, Cowboys and Texans well represented.  The spirit of friendly competition ran through the day’s activities as well. There was a pickup football game played on the green expanse of lawn in the park, Nabrs challenged each other to intense games of corn hole and ladder golf and football drills took place giving kids the opportunity to work on their catching skills.

The real competition was found off the field, the chili-cook off that is! Three residents served up their tasty chili for all to enjoy. Thank you to Norm, Chad and Jerry for cooking up such delicious chili and a big congrats to Chad who can now lay claim to the title of Chili Champ! Residents grabbed a seat at picnic tables to chow down on bowls of scrumptious chili along with free chips and drinks.

It was the perfect day to soak up the sun, connect with Nabrs and enjoy a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We look forward to more fun events in the Nabrhood, until then….

Do Good. Be Happy. And say Hello to your Nabr. 🙂
